Nashville singer/songwriter Maggie Rose to perform at M-PACT Concert Series

We are pleased to announce the artist selected to perform at the inaugural event of the M-PACT Concert Series is critically-acclaimed Nashville singer/songwriter Maggie Rose. The concert will be held at the Indiana Convention Center on September 9, 2021, with doors opening at 9 pm.

Maggie is an artist who cannot be defined by a single genre. Rolling Stone named her 2018 album “Change the Whole World” one of the best of the year, calling it a combination of “soul, roots, roots, blues, country and gospel with a powerful pop sensibility as much Alicia Keys as Bonnie Raitt – that easily transcends her past work.”

Among other accolades, critics have called Maggie:
•Artist to Watch – Pandora •Emerging Artist 2018 – YouTube •What’s Next in Nashville – NPR

And have said:
• A live “performer who’ll go above and beyond and define a moment…” – USA Today •“Maggie Rose has always had the pipesÉyou’d be hard-pressed to find anything that doesn’t sound perfectly intentional.” – Rolling Stone •“Cannot be defined by any one soundÉa formidable force to be reckoned with…” – Billboard

Maggie Rose was born in Potomac, MD, on May 19, 1988. She has been a lifelong singer but began performing professionally at 16, frequently appearing along the east coast with the B Street Band, a Bruce Springsteen tribute band. She attended Clemson but moved to Nashville in her sophomore year to pursue a career in music upon receiving encouragement from industry mogul and former head of Sony Entertainment, Tommy Mottola. She has released two albums, and three EPs.

Known for her live performances, she was deemed a “can’t miss” and was considered one of the highlights of the Bonnaroo festival in 2018. She has played the Grand Ole Opry more than 60 times and has shared stages with the likes of Heart, Joan Jett, Kelly Clarkson, Sheryl Crow, Bob Weir, Old Crow Medicine Show, and O.A.R.
